The report considers that cultural development is the heart of human development, which requires investing in the human element and developing the sciences, practical and theoretical knowledge, technical and applied skills and abilities, along with creativity in all the fields of cultural development.

This report which is considered the first of its kind in the Arab region and is issued annually by an Arab civil foundation with Arab financing, monitors cultural development in 22 Arab countries. The report includes 5 main topics:

Second Arab Report for Development

On the 9th of April, the first preparatory meeting before the Second Arab Report for Cultural Development was held in the Lebanese capital, Beirut.  The meeting was attended by the Foundation's Secretary General Dr. Suleiman AbdulMoneim and an elite of Arab thinkers and intellectuals including Dr. Abdullah Al-Oussaimin, Dr. Adnan Al-Amin, Dr. Jamal Ghittas, Dr. Nabil Ali, Dr. Mahmoud Khalil, Mr. Abed Wazen, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Aris, Dr. Mary Elias, Dr. Ahmad Baydoun, and the journalists Zahi Wehbe and Abed Al-Karim Al-Afnan.

Third Arab Report for Development

His Royal Highness Prince Khalid Al Faisal, President of the Arab Thought Foundation, has launched the Third Arabic Report of the Cultural Development, during a celebration held at the Phoenicia Hotel in Beirut, attended by the Qatari Minister of Culture, Arts and Heritage Hamad bin Abdul Aziz Al Kawari, the Lebanese Minister of Culture Tarek Mitri, the Chairperson of the Parliamentary Committee Mrs. Bahia Hariri, and a crowd of ambassadors, diplomats, intellectuals, academics and senior journalists and editors of Arab newspapers.
