Chairman of the Board of King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies - Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
HRH Prince Turki AlFaisal bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud was born in Mecca, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. HRH studied in Georgetown University, and has an Honorary Doctorate of Law from the University of Ulster, Ireland, and an Honorary Doctorate of Law from Hankuk University, South Korea. He is a visiting professor in Georgetown University. He was consultant of the Royal Diwan, Riyadh and was the Director General of Al Mukhabarat Al A'amah, Saudi Arabia's intelligence agency. He was appointed Ambassador to the United Kingdom and Ireland and then to the United States. HRH Prince Turki is known for his general culture and his wide participations in cultural and social activities. He is one of the founders of the King Faisal Foundation and he is member of its board of trustees. He serves as Chairman of the King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies. He is member of the board of trustees of the Oxford Center for Islamic Studies, Oxford, United Kingdom and member of the board of Trustees of the Center for Contemporary Arab Studies in Georgetown University in Washington D.C. He was one of the commissioners of the International Commission on Nuclear Non-Proliferation and Disarmament.
