Samar Samir Mezghani Writer and Youth Activist Tunisia
Tunisian writer Samar Samir Mezghanni was born in 1988 and though still young has already received widespread acclaim for her work. She has appeared twice in the Guinness Book of Records, first in 2000 as the world’s youngest writer and again in 2002 as the world’s most prolific writer. Her work includes over a hundred short stories for children and 14 published books. Some of her stories have been adapted for children’s television in Egypt. Recognised for her work by princes, presidents and professional organisations, she was chosen as the first Arab youngster to attend and speak at an Arab summit at the Arab Economic Summit in Kuwait. A member of various international and regional NGOs, she was named most active young participant at the World Youth Congress in Canada. Arabian Business Magazine called her one of the most important young leaders in the Arab region. |
