Saud A. Al-Ammari is the Managing Partner of Dr. Saud Al Ammari Law Firm in association with Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP, Saudi Arabia & the Gulf Region. He holds a Juris Doctor in law from South Texas College of law and a Masters degree in law from Harvard University. He is licensed to practice law in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Pennsylvania and Washington. Dr. Al-Ammari served as Special Counsel and General Attorney for the Saudi Arabian Oil Company (Saudi Aramco). He also served as an advisor to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in a number of capacities, including as Legal Adviser to the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, General Counsel at the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources and recently as Minister Plenipotentiary at the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia in the UK and Ireland. Dr. Al-Ammari participated as legal counsel and a member of the team negotiating the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's accession to the World Trade Organization (WTO) and from 2000 to 2004, he served as Chairman of OPEC's legal defence team. In 2001, Dr. Al-Ammari was decorated with the King Abdulaziz Medal (First order). |
