President Arab Authority for Agricultural Investment and Development (AAAID) Sudan
H.E. Mr. Ali Bin Saeed Al Sharhan was appointed the President of the Arab Authority for Agricultural Investment and Development (AAAID) in 2008, a position he still holds. Its main objective is to contribute to achieving food security in the Arab region through investment, and the development of agricultural resources and capabilities, including natural and human resources and technical capabilities. AAAID is currently establishing a program, with a capital of $100 million, to finance small farmers to enable them to face the rising prices of production inputs and assist them to cultivate their lands He is also currently a Deputy Minister for corporate governance in the United Arab Emirates government, a post that he has held since 2005. He originally trained as an accountant and graduated from Cairo University in 1977 with a BA in Accountancy. He also holds Diplomas in Performance Audit Programming from the University of Connecticut. |
